Basic Gang Specialist CourseThis is an 8-hour course taught in a traditional classroom setting. This course covers the history of major national gangs, gangs and social media, Florida Statute 874, gang psychology, outlaw motorcycle gangs and officer safety. This is an interactive course which teaches the student how to investigate a gang-related case from the inception to developing a probable case affidavit. Advanced Gang Specialist Course.This is an 8-hour course taught in a traditional classroom setting. The Intermediate Specialist Course is the foundation of this course. Basic Outlaw Motorcycle Gang Specialist CourseThis is the newest gang specialist course offered by FGIA. The introduction course was held in June 2019 in St. Augustine. FGIA will begin Offering this course across the state of Florida beginning November 2019. |
Since
1993, FGIA has hosted an annual training workshop. This is a week long
training event with numerous opportunities to take a variety of courses.
This workshop has been deemed one of the best gang training in the
country. Each year we provide relevant, up to date training as it
relates to gangs. This training is for law enforcement, corrections,
prosecutors, judges, analyst and juvenile justice professionals.
