Computers and the internet have given modern vehicles the ability to talk to us and share our lives with the outside world. Like most digital devices, cars leave a digital footprint with data that can be very useful in an investigation. This data includes location, call and text records, social media activity, car event data, and more. This class is a rich content environment that will teach you to view cars as evidence in every crime and provide you with the tools for policing in the 21st century! This class will cover new investigative tools and techniques involving:

•Vehicle Telematics

•Mobile Wifi

•Infotainment Systems

•Digital License Plates

•On-Demand Car Services

•Connected Car Tools

•Hi-Tech Tips & Tricks

•Best Practices and Case Walk Through

This training will run until approximately 1300 hours.  Lunch will be provided.  A final agenda for the day will come in the near future once finalized.
